In the eastern expanse of the Celosia Songwood, nestled in caverns that connect to the Clairborne Cordillera and Banshee Hollow, there is a collection of wide and extravagantly decorated caves that houses the "secret" society and esteemed gentlewolf's club known as The Gilded Pomegranate. Borne of House Montilyet's desperation and need to reestablish their social standing after decades of fallen favor from a merchant deal gone wrong, the house's eldest son (though, not heir), Laurien, works as the establishment's main proprietor. Wolves of all genders of the upper and middle classes are welcome here to rub elbows with the elite by means of drink, food, gossip, deals, pleasure, and more. It is a home away from home for many, acting as an escape from duties or other stresses of the world. The Gilded Pomegranate boasts beautiful décor, magnificent entertainment, and an endless array of hearty indulgences. So, relax and make merry, or trade in information and social capital to advance yours or your family's power.

Current passphrase to enter Club grounds: "The peacock flies at dusk."

Club Rules
I. What happens in the Pomegranate, stays in the Pomegranate. If you are found to be sharing knowledge learned within the Club with non-members (this includes the Club's current password), you may face righteous retribution from any affected parties.
II. Use discretion in all respects.
III. A deal made between two or more parties is only final and legitimate if there is at least one witness.
IV. Those who break or fail to follow through deals will face public and private reputational damage. The other party in the deal may respond in whatever manner they find appropriate to recoup any losses due to a failed or broken deal without fear of reputational harm.
V. All physical disputes** must be settled outside of the Club with at least two witnesses (one per party).

** FORMAL DUELS: The most common way to settle wrongs or disputes is through a formal duel. One party demands satisfaction and names the time and place where the duel will occur while the second party decides the rules and weaponry (or lack thereof) of the duel. Each party must select a Second (who may fight on their behalf or act merely as their witness) to accompany them; the Second will bring their party's weapon (if there is one to be brought). The parties fight until one yields or is bested. These duels are very rarely to the death.

How does my character join?
Easy! If your character holds rank in the High Court or a high rank in another court, they're automatically in. **Otherwise, your character must be invited / sponsored by an existing member who vouches for your character and oversees their probationary period of three out of character months. Once those months have passed, your character is a full member and can, therefore, sponsor others to join. A member can only sponsor one wolf at a time.

** ALTERNATIVELY: you reach out to Vae on Discord and offer a reason why your character would be in the club (e.g. connections they have, wealth they've amassed, other reasons the club may be interested in their membership, etc.), and it's highly likely you'll be accepted that way, as well, if you would prefer not to roleplay the trial period. This club may be meant to be exclusive in-character; however, it is not intended to be exclusive out of character. All are welcome and encouraged to participate!

But my character isn't wealthy or well-known...
They can be hired as entertainment, bouncers / guards, artisans, chefs, or any other useful trades and have the potential to work their way up that way!

What can my character do as a member?
Anything they want, honestly. It just means you're in a rich folks club with access to high society for whatever purposes you deem fit! To some characters, it may be seen as a badge of honor to be a member. To others, they may look down on someone for it. This is just meant as a fun little secret society for the rich and impressionable to play in. Who knows what your character can do with powerful connections and the ability to ask for and repay favors...

Can a character be kicked out or banned?
Only if a player wants them to be for the ~drama.
