Dusk settled upon the land, and in the recent days Sarathiel had become accustomed to life in isolation. He was no better than a stranger here, a vagabond. Keeping to himself mostly, speaking with few he preferred the nights where he could gaze up in tranquility and complete his works passion in peace.

And here a sense of complacency, the man lay perched delicately against the base of a tree, waiting patiently for the light of day to finish falling beneath the horizon, so the sky could come alight with a thousand tiny suns. He'd previously dug out a little space, pushed the snow away from the ground and walled it up around him. His long tail, flowing tendrils of thick fur splayed out the major bunch of it on dry ground while the longer strands folded over the small bank he'd created. Right paw folded and tucked carefully under the mans chest, slowly he let his eyes close, shifting only slightly and growing agitated whenever the tips of his quills found the tree bark. Sarathiels world would come alive soon, right now it was just about waiting.

And so he let his mind slip, remaining attentive to the still forest around him, long ears turning in attention when snow would fall from a neighboring tree until the sound of it crunching beneath careful steps caught his focus. Fluttering those mismatched pools open, he looked with his good eye. Audits slowly drawing forward. ❝ If you do insist on interrupting me, you can at least make yourself known ❞ he mused simply, his voice not above a gentle beckon to the stranger who sought his disruption.
